"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
(2 Timothy 1:7)

Anglican Parish of Wagga Wagga

Our Core Values

Community

We are a church that reaches out to city leaders and civic groups, serving where there is need, and intentionally being where people are. We invite people to connect with us and begin a relationship with Jesus.

Worship

We seek to know God truly, valuing Him above all things. This knowledge of Him is displayed in our acts of praise and in acts of love serving others.

Team Ministry

We believe that all Christians are baptised into ministry and are equal in worth and status, complementary in gifting and vocation, mutually accountable in discipleship, and equal partners in mission. This belief is demonstrated in our leadership, and life.

Prayer

We understand prayer as a means to praise and adore God, to know him, to come into his presence, to be changed by him and seek God’s help for others. We are committed to praying for our city, the flourishing of God’s church and the healing of the broken.

Fellowship

Warmth, friendliness and humility is modelled by our leadership and lived out by our leadership and lived out by our members. The openness of our church and homes reflects our hospitality and generosity. Members are involved in the life of our city and intentionally connect with non-church members. Visitors are welcomed and integrated into the life of the church.

Tradition

We rejoice in our sacramental and liturgical heritage as an expression of the Gospel, and our inheritance in Christ. We treasure our uniqueness and seek to exemplify the beauty and transcendence of Anglicanism to our city and a new generation. We also value new expressions of church and new forms of worship.

Giving

As God’s people who have received the gift of salvation we desire to be conduits of God’s grace to others. We give generously, that Christ might be honoured, glorified and valued above all earthly things and the church’s mission supported.

Outreach

We aspire to be a parish that makes the good news of Jesus accessible to our community.

Teaching & Preaching

We believe in the authority of the bible, and that God compels and equips us to communicate its message to our city, as we walk and live in integrity, empowered by His Spirit, that everyone may come into his presence.
